What We Believe
Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and shape how we share God’s truth, love, and transforming power through a Christ-centered life and ministry.
Who is God (the Father)?
The Father is the first person of the Godhead, equal to the Son and the Holy Spirit who orders and directs all things according to His own purpose and pleasure. He sustains all things in the universe without any means other than himself. By His grace, He involves himself in the affairs of mankind, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all that come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Who is Jesus Christ (the Son of God)?
Jesus is the second person of the Godhead, and one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, by the will of the Father, took on human flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully human, and He lived a sinless life.
Jesus’ death on the cross made atonement for humanity’s sin through His sacrificial bloodshed and death on the cross. He died in our place, accomplishing redemption for all who place their faith in Him.
I believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ, our Lord, that He physically ascended to the right hand of God the Father, and that He will return in power and glory.

Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, equal to the Father and the Son. He works to make men and women aware of their need for Jesus and provides them with the necessary power to live in accordance with the will of God. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer from the moment of their salvation, although His influence is experienced and enhanced as the believer yields control to Him. He equips every believer for the work of God through the giving of spiritual gifts. He is actively at work today, bringing about spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, empowers us to live in holiness, and equips us to fight the powers of darkness. He works interdependently with the Word of God to give wisdom and guidance for everyday life situations.

What is the Bible?
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the complete, divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God. The Bible is the supreme authority and guide in all matters of my faith and life.

What is the nature of man (humanity)?
Man and woman were created in God’s image and voluntarily fell into sin by personal disobedience to the will of God; consequently, all men and women are spiritually dead apart from Jesus Christ. The fall of humanity was a once-for-all historical fact and brought humanity under divine condemnation. Its effect spread to all people, each of whom is born with a sinful nature and is in need of salvation.

What is the Church?
The Church is defined as a gathering of believers, meeting and experiencing God together in order to display and reflect His goodness wherever they go. The Church is God’s instrument for accomplishing His purposes on the earth.
I believe that the Church (the people of God) is God’s instrument to distribute His glory and love on the earth.

What is salvation?
Salvation is by grace, through faith alone, and is a gift from God apart from works of any kind. All who receive Jesus Christ are justified by His blood. Good works are not the means of salvation, but rather the evidence of salvation.

What is Baptism?
We believe that through baptism, a person publicly affirms their faith in Jesus and identifies with His death, burial, and resurrection.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality?
Scripture consistently refers to sexuality as a good gift from God, the first man and women created in His image for love, union, and the creation of new life. And the Bible continues to define this special union throughout scripture as God’s design.
The term homosexuality is defined as a sexual or romantic attraction to one’s same sex. Therefore, if homosexuality is defined as a sexual or romantic attraction of one’s same sex (male or female), then the Bible does talk about this topic clearly from my perspective.
Here are a few scriptures:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10: “Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or homosexuals, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive or cheat people – none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.”
1 Timothy 1:10: “…for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders, liars, perjurers – and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine.”
Romans 1:24-27: “Therefore, God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.27 In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”
The Scriptures referenced above, along with many others throughout the Bible, reveal God's design and purpose for human sexuality and identity. From this biblical understanding, homosexuality, other forms of sexual sin, and embracing an LGBTQ identity—even apart from sexual behavior—are not in alignment with God's design as revealed in His Word.
